Do It Yourself Gardening and Landscape Design

Why is spring so intoxicating?

At first signs of the spring, life seems to thrive. I wonder if its because of my dreadful circumstances during the fall and winter months that makes me appreciate it so passionately. Isn’t it beautiful? The song birds, the sun at its perfect climate, forming the most beautiful evenings, with brilliant sun sets that make you never want to go inside, and force you to drift into thought and stare into the timeless landscape and think to yourself "Life is beautiful". OR is it because that it makes my sexual desires flourish? Why is it that I become so desperate for someone to hold, someone to share the evening with, hand in hand. Maybe we have this universal clock that ticks within us, telling us when time has come to mate, like other species. I forgot for so long what love was, love for another, love for the world and those who inhabit it, and love for life in general. Its brilliant that humans have managed to hold on to their natural instinct for so long, after all our progress in evolution as a species. Some things never change, do they? Miracles like these make me truly believe that life is more than just living to breath. How do you feel?

I completely agree!
I love summer because of the break from school, but my true love has always been spring. All the new growth and blooming trees. The longs months of winter helps me to appreciate spring even more.
I’m not sure about the "universal clock", but it’s a good idea. :)
